Battery Brain is an electronic device that acts as an ON/OFF switch between the car battery and the car's electrical system. If your car has some kind of problem with its electrical system, or if there is a condition present (such as leaving the car's headlights or interior lights on or any of the doors open while parking, or leaving a radio, telephone, or any other device connected to the car), the "Brain" that is attached to the car battery will disconnect the load when its power charge reaches a certain level. In that way it prevents the car battery from being drained.

It depends on the car battery's condition. The BB will disconnect the load from a used car battery in a shorter time than in a new one. It also depends on the amount of load that was left on while the engine was not running. In any case it will save the driver from getting stuck without the ability to restart the car.

The "Battery Brain" will not disconnect the load from the car battery while the engine is in normal operation.

Prevent your car from being stolen?
When the BB disconnects the load from the car battery, it leaves the vehicle without any electrical power. In that way, a thief can't "hot wire" the vehicle because there is no energy source to start the engine.

Only the driver can reset the load by pressing the remote control button or by pressing the manual reset knob on the BB unit.

All alarm devices can be connected directly to the positive post on the car battery, on the special connector on the BB's positive side. By doing so, even when the BB disconnects the load from the car battery, the car's alarm will still be active.

Remember, if the car battery drains complete- ly, the alarm will not work anyway! If you have the BB, it will prevent this from happening!
